Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Who are the vendors and do they give severance?

Last week word came out that our entire department at all locations were all being transferred over to an outside vendor. We were told that we were going to be skill tested and attending workshops to determine who would be kept and who the vendor would be letting go. Hearing only about 1/4 of us would be retained by the vendor and some of those would be possibly moved to other roles for other industries that the vendor also handles. Who are the vendors that we will be working for after we are transferred and if the vendor cuts us is there severance or just unemployment?

How can they get them licensed for the US when they’re overseas? No other company has been able to do that because states don’t allow for licensing of people overseas. WTAF?!

No severance. If you have no suitable career prospects outside of Allstate, then your option is to hope you make the cut and secure a role with the vendor firm. For many people still at Allstate who have careers that flattened out previously, the chances are good that your Allstate salary level will be deemed too rich for the compensation model of the vendor firm, and hence you won't make the cut or perhaps if you do, will have to agree to salary cut.

The workshops are pretty much hands on assessments for the vendors to rate and determine those they plan to keep once we are all herded over there. I am sure other departments whose employees go to the vendors will have similar work shops.

A lot of areas are going to get shafted out of severance either being transferred to the vendor for their fate or employees quitting voluntarily because they choose not to mess with the vendor. But those forced work shops everyone is talking about when we get swept to the vendor should be oh so much fun. 🙃

The vendor will not be paying severance to those they terminate. The vendor is Allstate's way of not paying severance and not having to count transferred employees towards layoff numbers.

If I'm a betting person, imma gonna say: "no severance for you."

You'll have less than one "year of service" at the vendor when they show you the door. Why would they give severance to someone who didn't make it through the probationary period?

Oh, and if it still hasn't dawned on you, Allstate is washing their hands of you. Buh-bye. Best wishes.

Our vendor is Medlogix. Don’t know who yours is. I don’t think they’ll be taking us though. But as the Allstate wat, transparency is key. 🤔🙄

CCC Unlicensed being transferred to vendor. CCC Licensed will be in Pune as the company has gotten them licensed.
