What do you get for working here? Bellow industry pay, laughable benefits, too much work, expectations to be at several places at once, incompetent and lazy managers, and so much more. Even if you're laid off, you should look at it as a positive. Things can only improve from here.

It’s admirable that you use the time to get familiar with operations but don’t take too much from the way Bed Bath does it. I was in operations for another major retailer prior and after all these years Bed Bath is so far behind the times. The antiquated systems and formats they use is a joke. Good luck to you in your career path.
In regard to the unemployment question - yes you can
Forgive this question because it does come from lack of knowledge about it. But does anyone know if you can draw unemployment if your store closes? I'm in California and it's looking pretty y bleak for my store. I'm looking as we speak for a better job but with no money for severance packages that would help pay the rent if my search hasn't turned up a job before we close down.
I doubt a severance for anyone at this point.
There is no money left, MT and the puppets in his pockets took it all
Just hoping there is a severance but not the end of the world otherwise. I'm using the time to learn operations better so I can take those skills elsewhere.
OP is completely right. Our store recently closed and it was a blessing. Better opportunities out there.
Exactly how I feel. I'm not stressing over this job and I know that I'll be just fine if not better whatever happens.
