Folks in TTS that are good at PPT but don’t know how to code! TTLs should all be fired! Why do we pay what is paid for VPs to be “interfaces” to the business? Why not just let the developers talk to the business directly?

Second the fraud research bit. We had a computer vision “expert” who used to claim stuff from 80s and 90s as state of the art. The same guy wanted 20 people on his scrum team to accelerate his promotion. Big lofty promises, little to no company relevant work.

Owing to the excellent PPT skills bosses used to give him a lot more gifts than he would have ever deserved. Boy, can bootlicking and PPTs get you far in this company.

The problem is 4-5 years down the line of this stuff does get to a product, you see issues and some issues like the veterans case, lead to bankruptcy. This is what rot the company from the inside.

Hate the Adv3M structure which creates another layer of reporting

These scums keeps asking for updates from the actual people doing the work

They are only excellent in PPT skills.

Fraudulent research. The resulting products were simply not safe to be consumed by humans.

Integrity was the most pressing issue. The fact of the matter was that only the most unethical people in the company ever bonded with mid level managers. That bond was a certificate that they would not leave the company.

During my time, this ba----d tech director used to damage people by surveilling on them for an informal integrity check, he would give these rights to his most favorite researcher son. The son was portrayed as the harbinger of deep learning in the company and was given Ellie status simply for his presence in the office.

Turns out the rat ba----d tech director had a huge external conflict of interest. But given that mother mining loves all her kids, this piece of sh-t was given the best quality surveillance agents so that he can keep syphoning money from 3m to serve his external obligation.

Second the lack of integrity in researchers. They used to snoop in on others Sub vocalizations to write invention submissions.

An informal FBI level investigation would be initiated by the mid level manager against a subject. Many times the individual who was the subject of the investigation , would not even be aware they were Being monitored and their thought were being snooped on in office and worst cases in their apartment and car too. The invention submissions would not have their name on it. And the documents would pass through back channels inside the company. When it would get out in the form of a patent, it would be too late for the subject to claim ownership.

The actors were some of the most respected research oriented folks. If they got caught by the subject, no one would believe the subject as it would be their word against the actors who typically had better reputation. The result was psychological damage to the subject and nothing else. The company was ruthless in weaponizing surveillance and did so for no reason other than mischief, malice or pure spite. What’s even worse is that this was the only employee perk they could give that folks won’t get elsewhere.

The company used to claim expertise of so many things they were in no position to work on ! As an example, They were blocking IP white spaces on operating system schedulers when no one with that level of competence would ever ruin their career and settle in the icy shithole. They were investigating blockchain technologies with not even a single person knowing what they are or why the company is positioned in anyway to even think about working on it.

The worst part is some unassuming id--t graduate will walk into recruiting without knowing that the company was lying about what it really did.

This level of dishonesty effects your perception much more than you think. It has far reaching implications not just on unassuming id--ts but eventually on the company itself. Surely being this dishonest should be a crime.

All the cr---y leaders who somehow sneak through the cracks and are somehow perceived to be great by those in a position to promote them. So maybe it goes back up to unjustified favoritism and sycophants.

Middle management, especially the ones who moved to management since they were utter failures at the lab bench level.

You know who you are. Shame on you
