Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Hop or Stay?

If you were given the chance, would you switch over to Corebridge when they separate if you were given an offer, or stay at AIG in General Insurance?

Corebridge is going to having a significant number of layoffs. This is definite. It's not safe at AIG or Corebridge. Best choice... find another job outside of this dumpster fire or ride it out until retirement to get a package.

Must be a TAP about to graduate from the program and looking at the job options. Both options stink so it becomes trust the new or go with the devil you know

If you got an offer to leave GI to go to CoreBridge and you aren’t ELT (which from your post I think we can be sure of), either someone from GI is trying to get rid of you without firing you (because thats way too difficult nowadays), or youre an expense they want to move out of GI and into L&R.

No one would offer you a job from GI to L&R so this is a d-mb question

Go to core bridge. At least that company will exist ten years from now. AIG will be sold for its parts within a few years.
