No colleagues who left recently have yet been replaced. Instead, all the work is done by the rest of us who remained here.
I could somehow accept that if I knew that the replacements will be hired soon. However, as things stand now, it seems that GF does not intend to replace them as long as we are still doing all the work? What a horrible management.
SLT profoundly don't care. They all wait until the 14th for their options to vest then bye bye
I have as well. I have told many new grads to avoid GLOBALFOUNDRIES if they want an actual career.
If you are a new grad reading this, do not consider employment at GLOBALFOUNDRIES! Avoid at all costs. Save yourself!
It's graduation season and many of us have kids graduating from college. None of my colleagues have directed their kids towards a career at Globalfoundries, not one. This is such a contrast from the past years at IBM.
SLT needs to do a better job of recruiting SLT.
Just prioritize your work. If you don't think putting in extra effort/time will pay off then there's no reason to sweat it and put in the extra effort. If you're hourly, just clock in/out. If you're salaried just show up for 40-45 hours a week. If you aren't on some rotation just don't look at your phone. If people are pressuring you while you're at work then tell them they need to escalate if their task should take priority.
I think they are trying to replace but no one wants to work for Globalfoundries. It’s reputation is terrible and our industry knows it. My team has had 3 recs out for over a year. And not one suitable candidate has been found. Sure some apply but have zero semiconductor experience. GF just sucks and most everyone know it. Bad salaries, very limited career growth, toxic environment. Secret is out.
Employment at GLOBALFOUNDRIES is only considered if you are extreme desperate for work.
