Hmmm, i guess those smart people were not so smart when they took that first job.

LOL...you are cracking me up with this statement...."Loyalty to a big company is a one way relationship that conflicts directly with loyalty to yourself and your family budget."
How old are you? Have you ever worked anywhere else to get the understanding of loyalty to a company or vice versa?

You're almost finding the point! Really close! So what is the conclusion?

That's why smart people today move jobs to get higher pay and advance.

Loyalty to a big company is a one way relationship that conflicts directly with loyalty to yourself and your family budget.

Lol that's some boomer sh|t if I've ever heard it. Imagine in 2022 being proud of loyalty to a big company after admitting they aren't even able to pay you enough to keep up with inflation and even better imagine that company being NOV rofl 🤣

@2fmm+1hqVQFNw I'm not bragging nor defending dude. You simply cannot lose money you never had to begin with, period! If i never had it, why would i miss it?

You can also bet your sweet a ss i am loyal to a big corporation. I've been with this company through good times and bad. I've worked in the field and in the shop, had it rough as he ll and on easy street when it was slow, good days and bad days and in return this company has taken care of me. I am at the top of the pay group for mechanics, so any cost of living raise, regardless the amount, i am happy with, for the only way to get more is to take a manager position, something i won't do.

Before you call someone a fool, take a look in the mirror.

Anybody defending losing money to be loyal to a big corporation is a fool in this job market. Sounds like Tubo is the right fit for them I guess.

@1yst+1hqVQFNw, i checked out what you said and nobody's bragging, the person was stating a fact in response to another person telling him he can now live on 2% less. It sounded as though he was happy to get that 6% instead of getting nothing.

I've worked for many companies and many of those companies did not give raises or paid holiday's. A vacation of 40 hours was all you got for a year and sick days didn't even exist.

Meanwhile in the tuboscope thread they are bragging about losing 2% to inflation as not a big deal and loyalty being important lol.

The managers and supervisors were secretly getting raises. They were warned not to share the information with anyone. Why would they stick with this company when the job market is so hot?

The top management would stick with NOV like parasites. They know how to suck blood down the chain to get work done and suck the milk higher up (and the stake holders) to self-serve their needs. They don't care about bringing value to the company or the community, It's twilight times.

When HRs are quitting in batches, it's a clear sign the organization is a S@# ho-e. NOV has reached well past that point.
