Sears had A program through a 3rd party where Sears got the money & then it was up to the 3rd party to collect. Called Why Not Lease It? Contrary to the name you owned the item if you made the payments.
It worked for Sears believe it or not?

Expect to see more of this with companies that have over inflated inventories. They want to lock you into todays price because over the next couple quarters there are going to be things they can't give away. If you can put the purchase off until later in the year, you can most likely save a lot of money.
