Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Typical signs before layoffs

I am relatively new to PepsiCo. The atmosphere was very tense at one point that I thought there were going to be layoffs, but it didn’t happen. Hypothetically speaking, aside from earnings reports or missed revenue goals, what else may be the signs that layoffs are coming?

The managers & supervisors will probably absorb some of the admin duties and others will probably get set to the wayside. Some of this has probably already happened. They will figure out what tasks weren't really need and what was critical to running the business. Some managers will just go with the flow and others will run scared at the thought of actually doing work or some are already tasked to the absolute breaking point. PepsiCo is not playing around anymore and hasn't been for quite a while. They are eliminating costs anyway possible and laying off people is their solution. This is all the harsh truth.

I’ll simplify it for you. If you have a job which can be done remotely - that’s your sign of eventual layoff. Period.

I knew something was happening when your once sweet managers start accusing you of things. They snap for no reason whatsoever.
