Cisco Live US Event

Was Cisco Live US a super spreader event? If you look at twitter and talk to customers it seems that a massive amount of people got Covid at the event.

So everyone goes to Cisco Live, gets infected with COVID, then days later Cisco lifts the COVID policy from all of its offices and customer meetings…. Seems legit. Go from super spreader event to opening up all of it’s offices and easier customer facing travel and meetings without providing a negative COVID test…

I guess they needed to do this for the flip of direction since Cisco now decides to support the “my body my choice” movement. Seems like they knew exactly what they were doing…

Yes. It was. I was there and got it. Most of my customers got it (except one who was wearing a mask the entire time). Every single person from the BU I interacted with this week either had it or was OOO. I know a few Cisco folks that were lucky. It's safe to say that the infection rate was at least 50% but we'll never know for sure (I don't blame Cisco for this).

I was there because my customers were willing to be there. With 50/50 odds it's probably not worth it - I won't be going to large in-person conferences for a while.

I got it while there. It’s like having a cold. It was worth it. Great to see everyone and move on from living in fear.

I know of at least 2, and possibly a 3rd from one team. Thing is they really don't care at this point in all of this ccp induced mess. Blame it on them, not the employees and attendees. The employees and normal populations didn't introduce the wuhan flu on the world.

Yes, almost every Cisco employee who went there has it now. Someone was spreading it.
