Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

It's time for transparency

The cat is obviously out of the bag at least here in CCC from our leadership regarding mass layoffs, outsourcing, and jobs transferring that is coming. This seems to be impacting claims and other areas as well considering what is all coming out from that area.

It is time for Tom, Glenn, and the rest to come forward and quit hiding what is going to affect many many Allstaters. It is not a secret gentlemen. For once in your miserable cowardly careers be straight forward with us. For once quit the hiding and quit your compulsive lying and tell us what exactly is up. We all know some big layoffs and eliminations are coming. We have bills, families to support, and lives to prepare for what is coming. It is time for you to be men and come on out with it. F××k the shareholders, you owe it to us. Let's hear it.

What in the heck does “transparency” get you? Everybody knows what’s coming. And whether we like it or not, Tom Wilson and the Board could care less is we are upset, angry, sad, demanding answers. Wilson is not going to be cajoled into being transparent. And he’s not going to lose an ounce of sleep over things either. He’s being paid multi millions to unemotionally carry out a strategy the executive management team developed and the Board rubber stamped. In fact when this next wave of transformation layoffs gets finished the Board is going to take Tom out to a 5 star dinner and raise a toast.

There is NOTHING to be gained by obsessing and complaining about the inevitable that is going to happen. You got to get busy living in the present and moving forward. Either that of find yourself long term unemployed, broke and with crumbling family relations a year from now because you decided to play the victim. You have to suck it up, stop wasting time commiserating with other Allstaters in the same boat, and get busy finding a new job, reinventing your career, etc. You don’t have the luxury of being angry and wallowing. If you think you so then don’t be shocked when the house goes into foreclosure in a year or two and the spouse walks out.

They’ve made it abundantly clear without coming out and saying it. There are greener pastures.

The CCC should have been shut down years ago. The most inept department at Allstate. Total joke

Just take matters in your own hands. Get out while the market is still good. There are so many great opportunities out there. It will take a year just to decompress. Oh, and working at AS is not great for your resume, so at the moment the industry knows what is taking place and willing to accept it. A year or so from now, maybe not so much. Just sayin.
