Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

I still like working at Xerox

I'm constantly worried about more cuts but other than that, this is not as bad of a job as some are saying. I might be one of the lucky ones since I have a great team and a great manager, who knows, but I would be devastated if I was laid off. I wish more people who are unhappy would find a new job and walk away. That way those of us who want to be here would have a lower chance of being laid off.

As long as you don’t mind being a cog in a machine that consistently skrews over internal/external customers… Xerox is a great place for employment mediocrity.

Which deity are you referring too? Must be Loki.
By Thor’s hammer… xerox is NOT what it used to be.

Came back to my desk after a week off and I still have my job and didn't hear of any of our people being cut. God is good 👍

Oh snap! I think we found THE theme song for the pro-xeroid kool-aide chuggers hating on the truth tellers.

I agree with you too. It is a good job. I work with some very good boomers too. I like it too. I would try to leave but I’m too old and no real tech companies want my 20th century skills set. I agree, Xerox is toxic. I do believe a lot of current Xerox people who like to tell the truth come here to let shareholders and potential new hires know that all is not well in the xerox kitchen. Is it perfect no - is it the Hotel California- Yes. If you are unhappy drink some more kool-aide and shatup. Oh, I don’t forget to tell friends and family to buy xerox!

I agree with you. It is a good job. I work with some very good people. I like it. If I didn't I would leave. This site is toxic. I do believe a lot of ex-Xerox people who can not let go and come here to spew hate and fear amongst the rest of us who like what we do. Is it perfect no - what job is. If you are unhappy move on or shut up.

If you get laid off? Try like when you get laid off. No worries on that one.

You cant pull up a plane 3 feet from the desert floor. Not even with nuclear powered rockets.

You will be devastated, but you will survive, and likely be a lot happier in the end.

Welcome to corporate America. It’s business 101 when top line rev is down. This is a job, not a relationship. I still love my job here but if something were to happen I will just move on and get over it.

“Not what they were 25 - 30 years ago that's for sure. The only way they can show good financial results to the share holders is to lay off employees.”

Wow. So many xeroid corporate bots trolling a site for layoffs. Like funeral crashers that show up wasted and wear bright floral pattern clothes.

I know everybody’s situation is different, but having a manager that supports me and genuinely cares about our success has been a great formula throughout my tenure here. An employee’s happiness usually starts there. Most of the disgruntled workers had a bad manager from what I remember. I’ve just been lucky I guess.

Exactly..... a solid team is crucial. I would say that I look out for my team and they look out for me but that's not the case, my team instinctively does what is right on a consistent basis. Bravo ladies and gentlemen!

I’m in a similar situation as the first poster. HCL can still be a headache sometimes, but otherwise I love the people I work with, I have plenty of customers to take care, and our management team is a solid crew. I’ll be here as long as this industry allows me to.

Still riding the Xerox train. Money is good and I’ve had a great experience so far. No company is perfect and I’ve come to terms with that.

Agreed. It's a publicly traded company.. the goal is to make money. I wish the liberals would just leave and stop crying. I have a great team, it's an easy job, no micromanaging, and XBS still to some degree let's us manage our own go to market. Yeah they took our P&L away and HCL sucks but I flirt with $200k and life is easy.
