Layoffs are a constant threat, yet we are barely managing to get the work done as it is. In my team everyone is overworked,working overtime and I can’t even imagine what would happen if we lost another team member or two. Looks like layoffs are only a purpose for themselves at this company.

Layoffs are only a constant threat on THIS site.
The talk is that they are gonna frustrate existing employees so much so that it leads to voluntary attrition, which in turn paves way to new blood. They just are phasing out ( or miserably trying ) the company that we know into a new "cool" company.
All the best everyone - you have experienced misery here and that will only help you sustain anywhere else in the world.
Beats me, all of my team members are super over worked, over stressed and the fear of impending axe adds an extra amount of pressure to it.
I have spoken to many of my team members who voluntarily claimed that they are burnt out.
It will happen in this quarter or next but its coming. Leave as soon as possible!
So quit if you can't cut it. Keep updating your skills...especially around Cloud...and you'll never get laid off.
