You really need to read the q&a page that your PharmD got with the new payscale. Yes you get to the top faster, but we no longer get the yearly 2%. Which is fine until you get to the top of the payscale.

No hours cut for us. We aren’t getting OT but no one’s had their hours cut.

You've gotta laugh at the two corporate goons who act like we we're too d-mb to see through all the lies management tells us. Nobody in the real world believes that the company hasn't been cutting hours ever since they publicly raised salaries. They even made one of those big rate increase announcements as a PR stunt the day they closed 63 Sam's Clubs without warning. That one backfired too. Corporate folks are totally out of touch. They think we're stupid.

@1dcx+1hgoLRxi, there was work at HO to look at Optical. If I remember correctly, there’s some shuffling to be done with role names, responsibilities, certifications and with compensation. They know they need to do no something. I can’t remember the time frame, though.

I wonder when they are going to deal with wages rates in Optical. Terrible issues staffing Opticians. We are not even in the ball park with our competitors. Non- certified Opticians start at the same rate as cart pushers. You can make a better starting rate in the Bakery packaging bread, or stocking bananas in produce. Throw in wage compression issues throughout the store, and it's a mess.

Ha ha. Let’s see how long it takes for the trolls to start on this. It’s like they have nothing else to do other than spread lies and rumors.

Of course, all of this is WRONG. There’s absolutely no cut in hours planned. This is just a rate leveling to match the job to market standards. The sky is not falling. There’s no reason to flip out. The lame brains that start these rumors are just trying to whip up some stuff on the big bad company. Wait and see. These posters are just trying to create hate and discontent. They have some axe to grind.

Every service industry that raised hourly pay to $15/hour has reduced every employee’s weekly paid hours by 5 hours. Call, email, tweet your local and state government and share the truth!

Sounds like you've been around the company for a while and know their MO.

Raises always mean cuts in hours.
