Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Update on Transformative Growth Meetings

These meetings that are starting this week will NOT be layoff announcements. They are the "rah rah Transformative Growth is great" meetings from the home office suits slowly laying the seed for what is coming later this year in terms of the need to "transform" further and we all know what that means. Transformative Growth will be sold as a great success and the need to up the Transformation all around. These meetings will be over the next 30-45 days in the form of department town halls, Tom Wilson meetings, and other formats. Some of us will get invites to these meetings and town halls but most won't. The initial department closures/moves and layoffs start to be announced late July/early August and beyond.

Losing market share is not transform growth. Allstate is headed in the wrong direction

Watch those bu-t kissing managers who are “sold” on the blue Kool-aid ideas, talking up transformative growth.
We need to stay ahead and relevant…
No, not all corporations are this greedy and cheap.
Allstate is a fossil that will be left in the dust like Kmart.

“laying the seed for what is coming later this year in terms of the need to "transform" further and we all know what that means.”

@sbm+1hftKXbp You posit this is true, yes? Then tell us what “we all know what this means” other than the “rumors all over this site” are based on short term past experiences, current information, and short term future expectations?

I suggest the rumors posted are part speculation based on historical context of Allstate’s previous cheerleading meetings filled with double-speak or nonsense before laying off thousands during a plandemic, part current information regarding impending “forced” attrition and layoffs (whether by Q4 2022 or Q2 2023), or are outright facts: management is once again playing rope a dope to delay mass voluntary terminations because that puts Allstate at a disadvantage if too many employees leave before Allstate’s ready to give them the ax.

Stop disparaging people, Tom, just because they don’t have short term memories.

Imagine that- rumors all over this site not true. Some posts are simply outright lies. Go figure
