I can't help but feel that all this pressure on employees, which in my opinion is greater than ever, is for the purpose of making as many of us as possible leave voluntarily. Perhaps someone will say it doesn't make much sense, but that's my opinion.

agreed 100%, make you miserable so you either work under duress, fear and stress while missing out on your family while SVP's "own" you. Its tragic.
You’re giving too much credit. Senior leaders are clueless about workloads. I hate that so many people are leaving and looking for other jobs.
That is what they want. Give us so much work, we quit on our own. Then they don't have to pay us the severance pay
