Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Cuts starting tomorrow

Heard from VP that more cuts to come. All aspects starting with on site associates, sales, technical services etc. Wiping out the road for Q2 earnings.

What department in Webster today?

We’ve had one in Webster

“No evidence of cuts in Webster today.”

10% comment is accurate. It’s not 10% if headcount though. 10% of gross salaries is the target , so a higher paid individual eats up a larger percentage of the overall target. Look for some xbs presidents to go and formal restructuring within the sales GTM under JCS’ new combined team.

Are you a technician or a parts replacer? Most of the technicians are long gone. It’s obvious they are doing nothing but trying to just cover ground.
I’m sure the customer doesn’t notice that they cant get anything fixed correctly. Why would they buy another unit, or lease from this comedy of errors? Thus equaling more cuts from A-Z here. No surprise at all.

Technical service is not just technicians. Yes technical service will be impacted.

My meeting is in the next couple hours,so will know soon enough. I expect it and wonder how they are going to manage. They are so short staffed in L2 to support. Supporting the field right now is ominous.

It’s you people that haven’t learned anything as you already think you know everything. Good luck with that.

And if you don’t work for Xerox you have zero reason to be on this site. It’s called being a creeper. You obviously still have admiration for this company like an ex girlfriend. Let it go….creeper.

If you are still working for X you deserve to be cut just for being an id--t 🐒👎🙄

Xerox is completely useless. Not to be trusted for anything. The people that don’t learn from this little ordeal are definitely in on the take or so out of touch it’s unforgivable.

They are not laying off 2,000 people. 1% is closer to the estimate. For those slow in math that would be approximately 200.

I doubt technical services will get cut, do you have any idea how understaffed we are and still hiring?

1st half results will not be good. Expect cuts in headcount and spend.

There weren’t any warn messages sent when the great Covid furlough occurred.

Doesn’t missing a WARN just mean you have to give the employee back pay for the violation period? So basically an extra 30 days, w benefits, severance?

There are no WARN notices posted for Xerox, so any cuts will be small. Of course, it is a big deal to those who will be cut...I remember in the early 2000's in Webster, one morning every employee in Webster was told to stay at their desk until further notice. The managers picked employees off one at a time. By the end of the "exercise", some of the managers were in tears, knowing how many lives they just turned completely upside down. In a few instances, after walking out several of their employees, the manager also got walked out. Now, THOSE were cuts...
