I don't have any insights, but I'm a little worried about the likelihood that there will be no severance in the next rounds of layoffs (when they happen).
Honestly, I’m still here just for the severance pay, which I wouldn’t want to miss out on because I haven’t gotten that much better offer yet.

You do know they can change the handbook right up to the minute of announcing layoffs, right? The employee handbook doesn't mean squat when they can change it anytime to their pleasure.
It’s in the HR manual I believe. They’d like more people to just quit so don’t expect full staffing. Increased and unmanageable workloads will certainly occur.
Trust me when I say all kinds of shenanigans will be afoot this time around. Won't be like 2020.
Sign nothing from ACN upfront. Lawyer up and let them fight for severance for you. It may take a while.
I will say not likely.
Unless you have been here for 10-15+ years or more the severance isn't really worth it. 5 years will only get you about 2 1/2 months of pay and with it taxed 40+% you are getting about a month and a half pay. Whoopee! And who knows if and how long they are going to extend health benefits at all as paying out of pocket for health insurance sucks up that severance pretty quick. And not to mention inflation right now so that severance won't stretch as far as it did. And with recession right around the corner expect the job market not to be as juicy as it has been.
Allstate will give a severance package because they don't want lawsuits. Severance is a way to keep everyone quiet and to have them go away
Ready to get around their policy, fire for cause by setting impossible metrics
Unless they pull a fast one, in changing their severance policy, or some other nefarious clandestine maneuver, we will get our severance when laid off. Problem is, you can’t trust these thugs. Sleep with one eye open and be aware that money is the root of all evil. Don’t lull yourself into a false sense of security. Things change quickly and they are “transforming” the company, the culture and all that goes with it. Severance for now, is still a benefit to the Allstate associate if laid off.
