Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

I wonder

I have seen posts that say AIG monitors these sites, but I never really believed that. I now wonder if it is true. I saw the post about interns being pictured on Contact a couple of days ago. I looked and it was there. The day after this site started ripping it, it was gone.

A popular topic on this page is email announcements about hiring so many new Global Heads when the average employee always gets the shaft. Then I noticed emails aren't being sent to announce new Global Heads anymore. They hired one this week. It is on contact, but no announcement was sent.

There have been several other coincidences where something was pointed out here and it was soon gone from the AIG playbooks. Are these coincidences or do they read how much we despise this executive team?

I hope they’re monitoring. So much for observing Juneteenth at AIG. AIG showing their true colors again with respecting diversity. I’ll assume some old crusty white guy like myself just saved down the old holiday calendar from the previous year and didn’t add this day in. AIG may need to give us another mental health day to get over this.

It’s not senior leadership reading and reacting though. Someone in corporate communications will be reading and reporting to comms and HR. I very much doubt Petey and his pirates are ever aware or indeed care about comments on here.

Pretty funny. The intern page came down for a day. Now it is back up on Contact. AIG thumbing their noses at this blog. :)

Former HR here.
They definitely monitor the site. You will never seen them respond. , if you’re seeing things come off of contact after being referenced here, chances are you’re right. The comments are instructive. Once in a while, if something is really egregious, they will take action and engage the site admin to have it removed. That only happens when individuals are named.

They absolutely do. I offered a constructive recommendation a few years ago and about a month later an initiative was launched. No way that it was a coincidence.
