I have been at allstate 7 years. I know a lot of people complain about allstate but before covid it was a good job. Good salary, 20 PTO days that increase to 25 after 5 years, and excellent coworkers. Once covid hit, Tom Wilson and Glenn Shapiro let greed take over and laid off thousands during a worldwide pandemic when allstate was doing well because no one was driving so no claims payouts. I encourage everyone including me to really think about another job or career that they would like to do. If we get laid off we can start a new chapter with a different company. It's weird, but I'm kind of excited. Unfortunately, the days of being with a company 30 or 40 years are over. I still think it's evil what Tom and Glenn are doing but that's corporate America today. Everyone, plan your next move in case your laid off. Also if you get cut stay for the severance and line something up after

I’m a firm believer in one reaps what they sow. Some call it karma. It’s a universal law of nature/design. I also believe Allstate will cease to thrive, beyond what we have already witnessed the past decade and will be forced to fold at some point (karma) unless people of moral virtue and character take the helm. This could have been a great insurance company for years to come for its investors, customers and employees but management became consumed by greed and deceit.
Good luck to all in your future endeavors.
