I’ve never seen a union benefit retail and I belonged to one at one point.
Kroger's employees just got 9% raises thanks to unions.
Bring in a union and you’ll see more layoffs and position eliminations than you’ve ever seen before. Companies are only going to allocate a set percentage of company profits to payroll and benefits, whether the store is a union or nonunion workplace. With a union that amount just gets divided up by fewer employees. That’s the dirty little secret that union organizers don’t tell employees when they are involved in an organizing drive—that AND that there will be union dues that are like another tax on your wages, and they only go up never down.
Unionizing will not help lowes - it will just shut stores down at a faster rate! Get out while you can.
Worked for a retail store with a union. Enjoy your 15 cent raises while paying your weekly union dues.
If you question if it can be done, stop being part of the problem and help organize a union
It's happening nationwide.
(Yawn)….wake me up when you guys successfully organize even just ONE store.
