Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Management is crazy

Especially in InfoTech.

I feel no regrets having left this dump.

In infotech, there is a top guy who literally hired their buddy from a previous job ( Jos A Bank ) that they were both canned from, and made their friend a "director", with NO previous experience in management

People are jumping off this titanic.

Those two stores may have a clause in their lease that they were supposed to be remodeled but never were. So it is either remodel or pay the fines for breaking the terms of the lease. Remodel must be cheaper so that is the route BBB will go, so it is possibly not fake news.

Hey when’s Daytona Beach and St Augustine gonna get the heads up about this? They plan store closures months in advance, why dump all that money into a remodel just to close it down? I’m calling fake news.

Way back in the day Toys R Us remodeled all of their Kids stores and not even six months after they were done they did away with the entire Kids concept and closed all of them. Being remodeled does not mean a store is "safe".

Daytona Beach is closing. Also St Augustine store. Sad part is that store just did a remodel.
