Like many who are now faced with a huge increase in workload, it was inevitable that this would affect the quality of my work. And guess what? The manager immediately came to me with criticism, because to him something like that cannot be tolerated. C'mon, really? Do they really think that it is possible to maintain the quality of work in these conditions?

Once you realize that these companies are nothing more than money funnels for inflated stock prices and overpaid senior management you can give your manager the finger.
These companies get a sweetheart 20% corporate tax rate all under the guise of “yeah but we employ so many people”
Well now they are coming after your jobs because they want it all and for you to just be a good little worker bee racing toward retirement without a pot to pi-s in.
I suggest you remove the emotion out of the situation, sit down and have a grown up fact based conversation with your manager, who you may discover is in exactly the same situation as you are.
Tell you manager you want to work together for just 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week in the office to get the work done right but you can only do that in the office since you are concerned about the rumors of managers who lay on their couch all day at home and are getting severe back pain.
Dare to get fired…enjoy the freedom to fu-k off and look for another job.
