Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Men’s Department

As a guy who used to really like shopping at Macy’s, Macy’s men’s department has really suffered lately! The suits and overall dressy apparel have really shrunk. If I go get high in clothing like that I usually end up at Dillards or Nordstrom. The current brands are not as good either. There are so many people in my store come in expecting us to have this large department of high-end designer suits. It bugs me why they haven’t expanded the offerings?

I don’t even waste my time looking in the mens department anymore. It is low end, poor quality, overpriced trash.
All of the quality name brands have either been reduced or eliminated. The private label I do not want at any price. Suit department is run of the mill fabrics and cuts. You can’t buy a quality basic white dress shirt. The underwear area is always out of basic sizes.
Sportswear is a joke. No classic styles or quality fabrics. The whole area looks like a mass merchant assortment.
Oh wait that is what Jeff Gannett and his Lieutenants have turned Macy’s into. A low class, low end, poor quality store that has lost its direction and core customer. RH Macy is most likely turning over in his grave.

Your location may not have the selection or a large customer base to support the tailored business. The tailored department in my location is one of the largest FOBs in the store with significant growth over LY and to PL.
