Heard of a few UK redundancies. Some long-serving key people too. The rot continues.
You what what I heard.... that these chumps are going to be at IBC this year... and somone forgot to book the hotel...
I can’t speak for how Sauron knows there will be more layoffs - but I know there will be more layoffs at Synamedia the same way I know the sun will go down tonight and return tomorrow. The company has not been profitable for three years (saving some slight of hand by finance) - it’s still run by the same buffoons who couldn’t manage a lemonaid stand - the one lever they pull to adjust the numbers, which they’ve pulled multiple times over the past three years, is to layoff staff in the US, UK and IL to move positions to India.
The Hobbit may need to go, but he’s surrounded by extreme incompetence. Until he purges the Finestra mafia he has no chance of turning the company around. They’re the wormtongues whispering in his ear that layoffs and position relocations will save the day.
And how, pray tell, do you know of such impending misfortune ?
