Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Chevron vs XTO ExxonMobil Midland Salary and Benefits Comparison

Your neighbors at XTO here. What is Chevron doing to entice people to Midland? Here is what we have and it isn’t enough to convince people to move to Midland.

  • Mid year one time 3% of salary bonus
  • 10% uplift to salary which was 20% before COVID and we are all hoping goes back to 20%
  • 5 more vacation days than Houston
  • Friday afternoons off
  • Annual RSU bonus for high performers recently expanded to make more employees eligible

Does Chevron pay more than XTO? I have a suspicion it does based on recent employee departures from XTO to Chevron.

Chevron doesn't really have to entice people to Midland. It is a core part of our business and people are thrilled to live and work there.
