People are self-LR'ing themselves. Cisco needs not take any action. Chuck & Fran are smiling all the way to the bank just like they did on that Check-in call.
The best LR is no cost of living adjustments in the Bay Area, force attrition without paying severance packages. No bad PR from a public layoff.
Lots of higher ups keep talking about how we have changed and arent going to do LR cycles over and over the way we have in the past.
There is some possibility of truth to this.
We are having such trouble keeping people (partially because of these crazy yearly LR cycles) that maybe the top mamangement has finally figured out they are shooting themselves in the foot.
Time will tell I suppose.
If its dishonesty again, the ELT will have ruined any remaining shreds of credibility they could have clawed back into this company.
