Cisco Security

What's going to happen to this BU? Can we all agree that it's a mess right now?

a BU would be the acronym for Business Unit, since we don't do security business there is no BU per definition. Good hobby project though.

Incompetent leadership allowed to remain in place far too long. The damage is done.

Even when it’s doing well, it’s such small potatoes in terms of our top and bottom lines. Overall it’s a net drag on our perception by the street since it’s not growing well. But if we sold it that would look even worse. So we’ll keep underfunding it and not really caring how it does.

Cisco Security is not even a contender in the Security Industry and most top Security execs exited the company. It would be a nice addition to a security company and let Cisco focus on routing and switching.

Security was never intended to succeeded. It's a shell to tell Wall Street we have Security product offerings.

Use some clever bundling tricks and Cisco has revenue growth in Security.
