Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Is everyone happy and secure at other OEMS?

Why is that only this site has a topic every hour? Is FMC that weak?

@kms+1hT6jTjM Then there was a hiring spree at GM 2021 until now. I guess Auburn Hills and Warren both are better positioned that Dearborn. Brnc has issues, LiGHTng has issues...

Purchasing people who left for Home Depot are doing well.

@ kms. Of course we are years behind GM, Farley is a follower, not a leader.

@OP. Nobody is truly safe anywhere anymore. The best bet is to stay upskilling and looking for another opportunities.

Also with GM and went through the 2019 purge. Once layoffs started rolling our board was on fire. You could see which department and buildings they were hitting by the hour. Hang in there guys. We know what you’re going through. Only thing I’ll say is you gotta take a break from this site as much as possible. A lot of the posts and rants will just keep your brain spinning and usually aren’t that helpful.

It's our turn to be # 1 on thelayoff.com this month.

judging based on the number of topics, it's a dead tie with wells fargo and vmware

I am with GM, I am monitoring this page right now. Back in 2019 we had a large layoff, we had a topic on this site every minute. About 5000 were laid off over several months, it was pretty bad. It looks like you are doing the same thing at Ford right now, you are just a few years behind us.
