Ford has thousands of agency employees and purchase service employees, what is going to happen to them during the next few weeks?

Things may have changed in past 1.5 years but Mexico was the equivalent of $4 per hour for salaried. The benchmark for US was $50-60 per hour. These were the numbers we plugged into spreadsheets for human resource costing for engineers (sans benefits).

Agree on the old-school work ethic in Mexico. Very religious with large population of Catholics. The same work ethic was observed in Brazil.

Yeah - Ford of Mexico is about 3:1 pay as well and they have an old-school conservative work ethic based in Faith and Family. They want to get to work not too woke. India has become 'entitled' and we see FOM to have a higher ratio of 'good workers'. In the meantime 'mericans do not want 'merica to be great anymore so we let people steal the power and sell us out again. No more 'merica first - This is what people voted and cheated for, so we deserve it. We could have laws protecting our workers but no. They lie and say they're here to help 'the little guy' and then stab us in the back. Gullible and naïve people - you are brainwashed by tyrants - Wake up ! (It's only 'merica now - The America I knew no longer exists.)

Being a highly compensated purchased service design employee at Ford, I just returned from a two week off-gird vacation, to this concerning news. Not sure if I will survived the year, as much of our work seems to be migrating to Brazil. Working from home is great, until you realize that means it can be done anywhere.

@bpa sorry to hear you got cut.
It is super annoying how Ford is able to incentivize politicians and Michigan press to “conceal” their activities. It is abundantly clear to anyone watching that Ford the auto manufacturer is abandoning Michigan, The train station once paid for by FoMoCo and federal, state, local governments (aka the taxpayer) will be “sold” to Bill’s green startup company to be a “talent hub” and high-end apartments/condos. All the waste and false promises is nauseating.

Being 1 of the ~1000 Agency/PS cuts that happened back on July first, that was never reported on btw, it doesn't matter how much of a "Rockstar" you were, or how many kudos/ accolades they gave you... Ford's current rate cards have these positions for 4:1 and 3:1 for Brazil/india.... He wants cheaper talent, not "better". All white collar, except for top tier management, are being sent to Brazil and India. Michigan for Ford, will be 90 day temp factory work for $12-15 an hour, while our local Govt. keeps giving Ford million dollar handouts. Want change? Start speaking up instead of watching while it happens to someone else.

They will start being trained by some of the 8000 people they’re replacing .

If they have 'an awesome set of tools' they may remain unless a 'F&F Plan' member needs to be accommodated at their expense . . .
