At AutoZone, you get to drive a parts-runner truck when transferring auto parts between stores.
Government pensions are also subject to the windfall rules - SS reduced
Current generation is just totally fu---d for retirement.
Note to previous poster on federal government pensions - current hires no longer get COLAs. They used to be outside the social security system. Now they are part of social security, and just get COLA on the social security like all of us, not their pension.
If you are young and can get a job in the Federal Government I would seriously consider it. My Dad retired from USDA and his pension makes my Ford pension look small (I retired as an LL6). The main difference is Federal Government pensions are bumped up every year to account for cost of living.
The trolls are out tonight...
Ford is hiring.

Home Depot, Lowes for those who pretend to work while shopping there
Walmart, Meijer, Whole Foods
Does Target, Costco, or Subway offer a free company m-plate test car with free gas and free insurance that I can have 24/7 in my possession for 'evaluations' that I see fit with no questions asked? I will NOT give up that perk which I have had for 20+ years.
Target, Costco, Subway are the best right now. You have to actually work though.
