Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Stop stressing and worrying

You'll achieve nothing by focusing on the coming layoffs 24/7. Think of it as a positive thing. You were warned in advance and now you have a chance to prepare properly in case your name ends up on that list. I'd gladly and gratefully take that over being blindsided by layoffs.

Right, the signs were there. And yet employment is based on trust.

I would never categorize this as a positive thing though.

The only real way to rid of this issue of automotive uncertainty is to switch industries completely.

On top of that, if I prepare now to go elsewhere then why stop in the middle of it?!? Then I go, regardless.

@oax . . . The 'warnings' have been on tihs forum for some time now, and of course just knowing the news about Ford over the last year should give a pretty strong clue . . .

Warned in advance?? How much warning are you speaking of if they do this starting early next week like many are reporting with the news breaking this last? Huh??
