UP TO 8000... UP TO. Retailers use the same language when advertising sales, merchandise marked down UP TO 75% OFF!!! Yeah, they have two items marked down to 75% and everything else is 5 -10%.
There can be anywhere from 1 to 8000 cuts. Still ambiguous. However, if you are working from home and work mainly on PowerPoint and Excel meetings I would be concerned. ICE or no ICE, EV or no EV.

Dude whatever makes you feel better go look at the news from GM in 2019 they cut alot too and have the same reasons about being all about Electric vehicles and cutting people that didnt help the electric vehicles
You missed my point. "UP TO" ambiguous. To say 8000 ICE people will be cut is delusional also.
They used the 8,000 number for a reason. It may settle lower but it won’t be 1. That is delusional.
I am in IT they have been cutting people for the past two weeks. I communicate with various teams of different apps, networking, operations etc.
I was waiting for this announcement figured it would be the most unprofessional announcement and pitting ICE against EV.
GM did the same in 2019 so surprised this didnt happen sooner.
