Has anyone transitioned to a part-time Cisco employee? Is that something that can be worked out between your manager and HR, if all are in agreement?

Having seen someone try this due to health issues they’ll cut 40% of your pay while still expecting 60 hours and when they don’t get it you’re gone. People I’ve known at other companies that weren’t doing quarterly layoffs lasted longer but were still the first to be hit when the axe was swung.
Just get a Cisco job in Toronto - maybe in Service or CX- you will work less hours than a grade 12 student working at McDonalds!

When will Cisco ELT catchup to this fact? Oh well, they also "pretend to work" too, so I guess they already know and don't want to disturb the status quo.
I already work part time at cisco and participate in pride e-o. Great work life balance.
Seriously, do not do that. There's no need anywhere in IT for part-time workers. That's just a gimmick to look good on paper, but bosses despise part-time employees because you can't get stuff done with them. It makes you a target for layoffs because you will inevitably be compared with full-time colleagues. I've seen it happen twice.
Legit PT jobs are rare but do exist at Cisco.
Plus most employees work another full-time job while working part time at Cisco
Managers are away from their desks for hours at a time not working. So yea just become a manager.
Just work part-time. No need to get HR involved.
i work less than part time, 1.5hrs per day. clueless cisco pays me for 8hrs. can't complain.
Almost all managers work part time.
from what I have been reading, on this site, almost everyone at Cisco is working part time.
