The atmosphere is very bad, so much so that I wonder if there are any healthy and well-functioning parts of Cisco where it is still actually nice to work?

"CX is a nice place to work. Rewarding to work closely with and to support our customers."
Whoa, someone's been guzzling the V2MOMma-aid. CX mid-level leadership is where the sales guys end up before they're shown the door. No investment in staff development, zero, and a whole organisation (Customer Success) that no one knows what they actually do. I can't remember the last time I had a real training class that wasn't some talking head with bad presentations skills or some high paid consultant trying to convince me that Agile is the way for everything.
"CX in SP is a great place. We are a close team with good peoples."
Y'all ain't making book either. It won't be long before CX SP is re-orged out of existence. They might be good people but that counts for squat at Cisco.
Facilities is a good and fun experience. Much better than intel.

I am in a great team a Cisco. I'm a product owner. Teams on the CX and EX side are great.
Most HR people and HTOMs I know don’t even make six figures. What do you consider highly paid?
"HR, HTOM, and Diversity & Inclusive positions."
And sadly, those types of roles are the death knell of Cisco. Highly paid individuals SJWs with a penchant for navel gazing.

The cafeteria is clean, well maintained and the workers there are always jovial
No. It’s so bad Cisco posted on linked in about it. It’s so bad Cisco has an undercover su----e problem.
#1 place to work though, burnout understand and cared for, when you use your benefits to take care of your self you definitely won’t be resented by your team who should be mad at staffing not you, and you definitely won’t have a target on your back when you come back /s

Just scrape the mold off the top.
Hahahaha “good parts” of Cisco? Anytime there is a good team or BU at Cisco they see to it to re-org and crush the spirits of that team. Cisco only wants you to “think” your well being matters to them, but actually they are your captors. People everywhere are miserable and have no drive. ELT makes poor decisions which removes more drive and ambition from team members passionate about building something good. This place is a prison with rose colored glasses…
HR, HTOM, and Diversity & Inclusive positions.
I haven't been at Cisco in a few years. Although the only sunny part used to be sales... JC & CR at least tried to insulate sales from the toxic politics, outsourcing, and converting full-time employees to temp workers.
It's always a sunny day in HR.
