Looks like tomorrow will be a new day for some. Layoffs coming, hopefully DMs and DHR. They both are pretty much dead weight.

guess what in center valley Fre CA bed bath and beyond they are downgrading the store to a c volume. it was A volume why? so they can use that to lay off more employees. there are 8 full-timers, they said they will have to let go 3 full-timers. and they are not remodeling the store they put on hold for a year. they are losing money by high theft people just walk out with items. homeless hanging around the parking lot, this is not a rumor, this is sad because I know many of the full-time employees are real hard workers. some have been there for over 15 years! op and manager are new less than 8 months. the store Manger is lazy and never on the floor, who supervises him? nobody. many are part-time which will not keep the store maintained well. there stock at $5. I hate to say it but bed bath and beyond future is slim. I used to work there I'm glad I found a better job that respects you for your hard work! I really hope they can turn around, we've all seen many stores going out of business! and i hope I'm so wrong.
it’s nice to still have a job, but can we please not post fake rumors like this? it’s already hard enough to figure out what’s going on with this company without false layoff rumors on a board meant to keep people informed of things they otherwise wouldn’t know about
Guess we all last another day
and still nothing....starting to smell something......
Meeting is over so where’s the news?
considering most stores don’t have their openers in for another 5 minutes, i’m guessing nothing would be announced yet
still waiting.....nothing yet.....
So? Did they layoff first thing or typical BBBY fashion make them work the entire day and term them at the end of the day?
"sounds like a corporate response"
Nope, I am just saying this company is not gonna survive this storm. No layoffs are happening at store level anymore. At this late in the game is about closing stores not select individuals from each store. Company needs money and time. Two things that layoff won't solve. Expect rapid store closing by end of summer. If you lease is up this year, it's and of the line for you.
Sadly most district and regional staff are well connected. They wont go anywhere even if jobs are eliminated. Last few times they just got shuffled around and kept the same pay. My old district HR became a SS Dept lead. Not even a manager, and kept her pay as if she was still district HR.
sounds like a corporate response
‘nothing to see here, get back to work, just the annual meeting of rich people that won’t lose a minute of sleep when everyone is out of a job’
Only thing happening tomorrow is the annual meeting of shareholders

I used to say I'd never want to leave. Loved it here. But at this point I'll take a few months unemployment and therapy instead.
Speculation, no one knows who or when but, it is coming....
Why tomorrow? Source?
Is this speculation or fact?
They can’t possibly cut full timers in my store. That’s all we have and they work in every department!!
anyone know if it's just mid level and upper level, or are they gonna be cutting non-key full time positions too?
