Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Betrayal

What else to add here...

AIG is selling employees like cattle to 3rd party companies or totally eliminating them all in the name of cost reduction and stock price.

Those of you optimists who want to believe it won't happen you are naive. This is just the beginning.

Yes. His email that was sent out a day after the layoff announcement about the excitements about the future and how greats the company will be blah blah. That was extremely insensitive. Then today another email from him was sent out about his excitement again on future outlook. It seems like AIG try so hard to brainwash the employees by repeating the same thing over & over again so that we believe it’s true that they truly care about the employees.

Anyone else think that email from Kevin Hogan. He is "excited about the future ahead" considering how many people are losing their jobs... what a di--head!

If it's not morphed into a libera; talking point this would never see the light of day in the mainstream media. Inflation, unemployment might cast a negative light on the current administration.

No way to spin this to blame the prior admin or Putin et al.

Curious: has anyone seen any mention of this on any of the news outlets? CNBC or WSJ or Forbes...etc?

Massive layoffs in Amarillo. The entire branch pretty much decimated. There were three non options which were the bare minimum asked to stay, automatic termination or severance AFTER April 2023. Severance offered so that you can train employees offshore that will be taking your position. It’s heartbreaking and appalling.

Did they indicate how many would be laid off?

The options handed down were 1. You are staying with Corebridge 2. You are being moved to Accenture or 3. You are being laid off. This was to US based L&R folks.

There will be a big shift...

  • Some to ACN
  • Some to stay at AIG
  • Some to be asked to leave

Yes, it was announced.

Are these jobs in Finance and Operations, or just Operations?

L&R CEO announced jobs going over to Accenture. You might be asked to move to Accenture or just released. Some might stay with AIG. So on behalf of the employees left....mooooooo!

What have they actually announced? I’ve heard that there were town halls, but not what was actually announced
