Thread regarding 3M layoffs

Government role??

My lawyers told me realistically I can expect only $20000 that is way lesser than what was expected in the settlement. I have permanent damage to my ears and my quality of life has b been seriously effected by their faulty earplugs.

Where is the governments role in the veterans lawsuit? If a government contract got the faulty earplugs in, why should I suffer because of it. After all isn’t quality control a part and parcel of manufacturing. Feels like 15 years of military service were paid for with disrespect.

Heard Rike Moman still gave himself a 10 million dollar bonus, for his “elite” leadership and for screwing over veterans in a grand fashion.

I hope the lawyers are taking note of facts about the company and not just buying the bu-----t the company is presenting in court.

3m is a duplicitous organization, government or private sector should both be aware before carrying out business with these.

They have a habit of screwing over anyone that someone gets associated with them. This time they are playing with US bankruptcy laws. I sincerely hope the government terminates all existing contracts with them.

Rumors are flying about the splitting of the company. They are going to let one small part take the blame. The lawyers know about this and are going to fight back.

Even if the bankruptcy torts are applied to all the spin-offs, the settlement value will be decent. But turns out there is a small lump sum that is distributed amongst 300,000 veterans.

At least all the government contracts should be voided given the critical issues with the earplugs. When there is precedent that the manufacturing standards are not up to the mark, why risk other contracts? Send like 3m will just spin-off smaller fractions to take the blame.
