Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Hours

i heard from a few different managers now that as of the end of this month, we’re goin back to our old hours; the surprising part is it only took a week to realize opening at 11 and starting at 9 was a d-mb idea, lol

I sure hope hours increase this 3 hr a day is not sustainable for anyone trying to make a living
Some coworkers are only getting 12 to 15 hrs a week
Just above $ keeping us from getting any type of help

It doesn't make a difference when we still don't have the product customers are looking for. It also doesn't make a difference when we don't have enough hours to replenish or actually help and sell to customers. It doesn't seem like the college season is too important when they have us running skeleton crews.

i’m guessing back to 10; we definitely would get people in between 10-11, 9-10 was never very busy for us, and our store had been 10 for long enough the customers had gotten used to it

I heard we are going back to 10-8. Not 9AM until probably November….

Whomever approved the 11AM was a mo--n. Management and people revolted. Didn’t take long.

I have had several mad customers over this. One customer told me we are burning ourselves alive turning customers away at 9-10am. Any mom who drops her kids off at school gets her running done right after. All the elderly people like to get out and shop early. It was the worst decision!

Be happy you work for a company that see’s it’s mistakes and changes course.
