As long as we rely on the cheapest possible factories in remote places, this will keep being an issue. Those factories keep the production lines running and churn out a few extra switches and routers that get sold on the grey market.

If you want a genuine authentic iPhone, you buy directly from Apple. Same should be the same for Cisco. Cut out the these corrupt and counterfeit middlemen.

This is an age old problem. I’ve had a well known service provider come to us with an SR on several catalyst switches that TAC could not support because they were not entitled. Come to find out they were black/grey market and purchased through one of their nefarious partners.
