Never! They make more money licensing it out without hiring their own resources.
Disney will buy Mattel within 5-12 months.
Mattel is just another business that thrived in the 80's along with Xerox and Polaroid. Unfortunately, it gives off an 'obsolete' feel like those Xerox and Polaroid products too. May just need to change its name and products to match up more closely to GameStop to appeal to today's consumers. Disney buying Mattel would be like Office Depot buying a Xerox copy machine line.
