Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

National General

Any idea if the layoffs will impact the National General side of the house? It’s been crickets so far…

It’s called keeping up appearances. That was done in 2020, too

NatGen is hiring, all positions are onshore.

Nat Gen has a lot of staff that add no value to the company nor to customers. FNOL segment is a joke, they do not focus on the customer or doing right for their premium paying customers, however that may be their type of “clientele” for auto insurance. Allstate may want to hang onto sales but there are no safe departments. Whatever is getting moved off shore for Allstate can easily be done to the Nat Gen. Don’t kid yourselves - no proof majority to be retained after purchase 1/4/21

No layoffs on the NatGen side as they operate separately…. And yes they are hiring…. But they have a large book of non standard business.

NatGen is the focus of the independent agent products. With Allstate focusing now on an IA and direct sales position with exclusive agents being slowly phased out NatGen is one of the safest areas of this company currently.
