The next wave of big layoffs is coming? Really??? I can hardly believe it and I really hope that it is just someone's malicious rumor. Maybe someone just wants to stir the pot. If that person already has information that there will be cuts, then he or she should also have insights into which departments will be affected. Just saying. Is there anyone left to cut? I work for three people.

If you're over 45 you're on the chopping block.
Look for ETS soon too - August
“Call center admins being reduced to one.”
You didn’t need more than one to begin with! Retail has zero admin people and much more complicated to run thousands of stores than 18 call centers.
I was laid off after 22 years. I was blindsided and devasted. I was busy and there was so much work to do. And to boot they hired contractors to do the work that myself and others were doing. But they need to save in opex so this is a way to do that unfortunately. :(
15 years of service and blindsided. Analyst here
"I think we’re all done in Consumer."
You'd be a fool to think that. Sievert and company don't care about the brain drain and long term impacts this will have. All they care about is propping up the stock price as much as they can so they can cash out. What a trash CEO we have now.
Centers are being reduced to 1 admin. The CRE position is being eliminated and a large chunk of trainers are given the option to go back on the phones or take a severance package. Completely blindsided by this. Not much incentive for agents to progress if they can be fired out of nowhere after working so hard for so long
Well, they keep talking about layoffs in Ulf's team. That would likely be all the tech folks who used to take care of now dead CDMA network
They're laying off metro people next
They reduced all the DMs that they needed. Each one of them has like 8-10 direct reports now. I think we’re all done in Consumer.
If you work for 3 people, then there's at least 2 who should go.
All Associate Trainer jobs were eliminated today. Also 35% of trainers.
Care should be hearing some things soon. Business Support, Admins, CEs...
Still plenty of DM's and Metro people that need to go.... Probably still some marketing another redundant office positions as well
