Academy changes

It appears as though the Academy coaches will be rolled into the stores in their market

A lot of it tended to be review. Back at our stores, academy process was rarely followed. As far as overstaffed, that doesn't make sense. At least not in Market 432. We have coaches and supervisors doing every bit as much as sales floor associates, stockers, and former DM activities and it's still a scramble.

The academy was definitely a waste of money, anyone remember “one best way” that was the future. Really there’s been quite a few failures during this CEOs run. Unfortunately the powers that be of the company haven’t seen it yet, the recession will force Doug to be let go and a new ceo will be put in place for better or worse. He blamed over staffing of stores for not meeting qtr 1s profit, so we’re back to blaming stores for not meeting sales and plan, not the lack of reliable tech or support from H.o.

The academy was a good idea that was implemented poorly. I hate to say it, but it WAS a serious waste of money and effort. I know of very few academy success stories that made a difference.
