Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Predicting over 8000 layoffs coming up

Based on all the info I am hearing and seeing and with most areas going under almost full control of foreign contractors and moved to India with added automation factored in. And that includes a lot of high level directors and head honchos.

Rumors are always true. I don’t understand how people don’t believe that this is going to happen! Get your heard out of the sand!

Well considering the statement that 3800 that got laid off in 2020 was a lie and it was actually around 6000 laid off this 8000 prediction from OP doesn't seem like much of a stretch.

This thread is exactly what is wrong with Allstate employees! Zero chance that they will let 8,000 people go. Crawl back under your rock.

My manager in claims said she is torn between applying outside the company and waiting for severance. She said if she bolts that she was told she wouldn't be replaced they would let the position stay open to get the headcount down.

Some very high up people in CCC that already know they are out of a job once all this rolls out in the next 6-12 months are letting it all out. Word is starting to make its way to the ground level. And it isn't jobs going to just India but all of CCC, agency services, underwriting, claims, parts of legal, policy admin, and other areas also going to Mexico and Asian contractors in addition to India. It is very real and very true that Allstate is completely gutting its U.S. workforce. You may not believe it now but just see what happens. I wish it wasn't. The number of people let go or being moved to contractors will be enormous. Those others on the board speaking out about it aren't BSing.

So you think Allstate is sending over 17% of its current workforce to India, including high level employees such as "directors"? Lay off the dr-gs, man.

This isn't even a good troll attempt.

With everything about to go down 8000 is a very conservative number. Within 12 months I would figure 1/3 to 1/2 of U.S. based Allstaters out of a job.
