Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

Everything that's wrong with Weatherford

Outdated systems, processes that need to be streamlined, unnecessary procedures, incompetent upper management, bloated middle management, toxic internal culture, useless HR, insufficient compensation...there are many more to add. Yet I can't think of one thing to put into a "everything that's right with Weatherford" category.

If WFT is in place to lose money for the investors, they have the right management and crews in place. I always thought they were just incompetent and stupid. Looking at the big picture now, I realize just how good of job they are doing. The masterminds behind this border on Genius's.

Yes I agree it is not the place it used to be. Weatherford had some of the best kit on the market. I agree with a comment they do not know how to build the tools. This is down to product transfer not being done correct.

Wft is owned by the lenders and serves quite well as a write off...thats why everything has to be well documented everyone gets a piece of the writeoff

Yep, at WHR we all joke around about all the blue tape that they want us to do both from HSE and this re&arded management. The tools and product lines are beyond falling apart to the point of no repair. All this new management knows how to do is sc--w things up worse. This place is a freaking joke! This product line lost all original intelligence that designed all these tools. Nobody knows how any of this cr-p goes together or even works. It won’t be long before everybody sees this if they don’t already. I’m still hiding out with the best of them, lol… #u€k this place!

Agreed on supply chain approach. It’s ridiculous, especially to continue going to “low cost” countries that can’t deliver.

Kunderoo needs to go

The supply chain approach is the d-mbest sh*t I’ve ever seen. Going all in on sub con but treating the vendors like garbage along the way?! It’s like shooting yourself in the ba--s and expecting your junk to still perform - ain’t gonna happen!

The sooner new leadership is brought in to take out the current trash the better.

Out of al oilfield service and equipment companies I have worked for (most of the big ones ), Weatherford seems like it had the most used car salesmen at the helm.

The cleaning crew at SJP does a great job….waste basket is always empty in my office….window ledges dusted…floor vacuumed…..and my pillow fluffed up. Not everyone at Weatherford I’d as incompetent as you say
