Thread regarding Marathon Petroleum layoffs

I thought the attrition would stabilize soon

But that doesn't seem to be happening yet? Or at least I haven't noticed that attrition is slowing down.

I’ve never gotten over how MPC people call the senior leadership “Mr xxxx”. I’ve been corrected by people about this when referring to someone by their first name. Such a backwards, old culture. Andeavor execs were never that entitled/childish.

This should surprise nobody - Mr. Hennigan has stated to the Street that "cutting costs is in his DNA".

Its not going to, any area where they can outsource they have and will continue to do so. Management already made a decision months ago and will continue to drag this out for as long as possible.

After we had 5+% of the workforce leave in a three week window it seemed to finally catch management attention. Interestingly, all of the extra "fun" programs that had been cut since becoming Marathon are now being brought back.

Too little, too late.

Are you in management or something? What made you think that? The company is a sh-t show in a dying industry and has barely even adknowledged that attiration is a problem. Why would it slow down?
