Conversion

Our conversion sh--s the bed every day. How much longer will we survive with no merchandise the customers want and sales being less than last year.

Nice language OP. Another indicator of how young and how unprofessional this board is

Take a look around your store. Count how many national brands are out of stock. Then look at the MT brands that have overwhelmed your shelves and top stock. Now ask why? Answer vendors want paid up front. Don't be fooled or you will be the fool.

Try taking conversion to the bank! Has to be the d-mbest way to judge stores! The RMM SRDM &DM's drink the Kool-Aid !

Conversion is just away to get long term higher paid in store managers out. Face most aren't managing anyway they are the doers !! With staffing in the store at an all-time low you can pay 14hr associate to open and close the stores which is about what most do now. Its not the same company. MT and his mo--ns want to build back better? HAHAHA See where those phrases have gotten us ! Chapter 11 or 7 is on its way

How much longer will people continue to post the same questions? How much longer will people continue to complain yet not look for another job?

"Sell what you have and shut up"
Obviously if you look at sales the past year this statement is exactly what this company is doing selling what they have which nobody wants and thus a decrease of 28 to 35% on a store by store basis. Omni has sh-t the bed as well.
Gone are the good old days when you could stack it high and watch it fly.
The biggest issue is not conversion it's bringing the older customers back into the building the millenniums are all shopping online bring back the older customers to the brick-and-mortar buildings with a mailed coupon.

It kind of seems crazy that they've put so much emphasis on conversion and have kind of put sales numbers to the side. There is so much that affects conversion that it does not give you any insight into what is actually happening.

“Have passion for conversion “. I passionately dislike our sole focus on conversion. 😠

What bothers me isn’t necessarily conversion it’s SALES!!

A person buys ONE item for $10.
That’s 100% conversion.

But we were getting 4 items for $35 3 years ago. So we’re LOSING SALES!!

Can someone wake up and see this??
