I have been employed by MPC at a "legacy" refining site for double digit years now and had a discussion yesterday with an employee in another department with a different supervisor. We were unable to put into words what either of our supervisors did besides funnel information up the chain. Neither of us have "working" supervisors, which is to say supervisors that do any real work, and despite our best interests of informing them our supervisors never seem to have a clue what is going on. If they get caught not knowing something, we get the blame. I have gone back in e-mails and proved to my supervisor that he knew X, Y, and Z after we get jumped for not informing him.
Are all locations this bad? No wonder this company is in the toilet and losing people at warp speed.
