Bonus remix math problem

Your base x target x highest IPF over 3 years pitched as current TTC. Now the new plan is to reduce target and increase base, but then they use that same IPF to match TTC.
So if you don’t match your highest IPF over last 3 years, it is a pay cut.

It’s very simple math and right there on your calculator.

And this is pitched as them looking out for us and a good thing. If they used last 3 year lowest, or even average, then you have better chance of no pay cut.

But the math majors promise this is not a cut……

Huh?

...However, I'm G8 and therefore this doesn't make any substantial income increase. I'd rather see a real salary increase.

That's the point. They don't want to give you salary increase. Sure, you're taking home more money each payday, but with the smaller bonus at year end, your total compensation is the same and costs Cisco nothing while they tell you that you received a raise.

It's total BS.

I was lucky enough that I received IPF=1.2 last time and that was my highest IPF ever. I know I will never ever receive IPF higher than that, no matter how hard I work; most probably I will have my IPFs around 1.0. Therefore, this remix is good thing for me.

This website does not display text in-between the "smaller" and "larger" character. I assume it thinks that are html tags. That butchered my previous post. Here again:

The remix calculator tool shows only comparable overall compensations for IPF=1 and IPF=max_of_last_three_times.

Holy sh-t, this thread is simple math and people don’t get it. If you have IPF lower than highest of last 3 years you loose money! Put in the remix calculator tool and don’t rely on this post to see for yourself!

The remix calculator tool shows only comparable overall compensations for IPF=1 and IPF=.

If you believe you can directly read overall compensations for both, with and without bonus remix of various other IPFs, then you seem to compare wrong numbers.

Cisco hiring the best and brightest? Not so much apparently.

Was that ever the case?

You are the math problem.

Remix is good most of the time.

Unless you exceed your highest IPF, in which case yes it is a marginal loss.

If you match your highest IPF it is a wash, and you actually gain if below your highest IPF, which should happen most of the time.

More than compensated for by the steadyness of the income strea.

IPF will increase one point for every service year great than 5 which will apply to non-exempts as well.

Bonus remix does not apply to non-exempts. You'd be surprised how many blue badges are non-exempt.

Maths, not math.

I don't think this math is correct ..

Example 1
base $125k, target 20%, IPF 1.1, then TTC becomes $165k

But eye watering if you make it look like above !

Example 2
base $125k, target 20%, IPF 0.7, then TTC becomes $160.5k

OP, did you finish your 2nd grade math?

Wait, chuckie is a math expert according to him. Yeah, right. and fran MM. and chuckie are not incompetent buffoons. The math makes sense to the newbies and lower grades. Those with more than 5 years and not above an 11 get a multiplier. 12s get as hosed as they come. No years of service multiplier because "12s have been taken care of with stock over the years". What sort of garbage is that?? The ELT rapes, the company and is rewarded for incompetence while the ones who helped build the company are screwed. Yep, this works out fine. Cisco should change their name to 3com, DEC, ODS, or anything else that was driven into extinction by the same type of fools.

Who cares about sales. Most of the company isn’t in sales. Works fine for us.

ELT received ultra pay raises last year, and now you’re stuck with their math solution from your hard earned money. They planned it ahead and are trying to sell you on it, while they all milked the cow last year. Don’t kid yourselves, they don’t have your best interest.
