Having worked there for 17 years and dismissed when our store closed in 2020, it’s truly a shell of the company it was in the early 2000’s. Good luck to all that remain

Not strange at all. I've done it too. Said before and I'll say it again, company won't be around in a year. You stay with the sinker!
early 2000's like the OP states is when the company should have started updating their systems and processes (like the return policy). MT hasn't helped us any, but i agree, the company stuck with outdated ideas and technology way too long; i've always assumed the only reason we even started updating our systems is because no one could keep fixing tech from the 80s anymore, lol
Make that SOCIAL media
Idk why someone who has been gone 2 years would come back to post here. Very strange. It is like stalking your ex on Docial Media
I am sure you have your reasons for this post, but if you think the way that bed bath was doing things before the tritton era would have saved the company, you are incorrect. This was the path no matter who was in charge. Old antiquated systems and processes have caught up to us and allowed everyone else to pass us by. Some of the things tritton has done may have sped up the inevitable, but either way, the end of this story would have been the same.
it is weird how this post keeps popping up. it's almost like a lot of long tenured employees who were let go actually kind of cared about the company, and are all disappointed to see it go down like it is..
Retail has changed immensely in the last two decades. On line shopping has shifted the way we all shop.
Weird how some version of this post pops up every couple months
I've been around for almost 2 decades and it is so sad to see our slow downward spiral. We used to have a great selection of merchandise, knowledgeable trained associates to help customers and enough backend associates to keep our shelves full.
BBBY is only the same company in name only. Gone are the days of vast merchandise choices and knowledgeable associates that delivered an excellent customer experience. The new management has turned out stores into a bland experience with no selection for our customers and they no longer have a desire or need to shop here.
The newly hired Execs are here to LOOT what is left of BBBY and then cast the Company into the sea of bankruptcy
